| 6/19/2008 | The 4H Shooting Tournament scheduled for Sunday, June 29th has been cancelled. This means that any bays not used by USPSA will be availble to the general membership for use. |

| 5/15/2008 | June 29th all ranges except for the big bore rifle range will be closed to general membership due to other scheduled events: 4H Shooting Tournament and USPSA. |

| 4/12/2008 | There will be a Friends of the NRA banquet on May 1st in Sparta. Please see the flyer for more details.
The money made at these banquets stays in the state and in many cases benefits our immediate area, so it's a great cause to support!

| 3/16/2008 | A couple updates to the calendar have been made along with updates to the printable version.
Muzzleloader silhouette shoots are 4/26 & 8/9.
Muzzleloader (traditional) shoots are 6/8, 8/30 & 8/31, and 10/4.
Also, the forms for hunter safety have been updated when navigating through the calendar. |

| 2/10/2008 | Ronnie Casper has kindly added a clubs section to his Wisconsin Shooters forums. Please check it out by clicking the Forums section at the top of the page.
My hope is to get more forum traffic by using better software and hopefully increase communication for the club and across the many shooting disciplines. |

Memberships will be available through mail-in only. Membership applications are available for download http://www.holmenrodandgunclub.com/2008_Membership_Application.pdf, and at the entrance to the club at the gate. Please send in your application early as to not delay your access to the club! Processing of application may take from 2 to 4 weeks.
Membership fees for 2008:
Annual $50.00 (calendar year Jan-Dec)
Life $500.00
The club will have a new automatic gate at the entrance to the club. The gate will open by entering an access number assigned to the member. Access numbers will be mailed to the member when they receive their membership card. Life members will be contacted with your access number.
Guest passes will be implemented for 2008. Guests are allowed to use club grounds when accompanied by a current member. The guest fee will be $5.00 for the day. A drop box for guest fees will be available at the gate entrance and must be paid before entering club grounds. The sponsoring member is responsible for their guests.
Newsletters and calendar are available on the website and will no longer be mailed out. Copies will be made available in a box at the front door to the clubhouse for those members without internet access. However, the online calendar will be considered the most current as information and dates can change throughout the year.
*** Additional Announcements ***
- The annual membership party in January has been cancelled until further notice.
- For those members that have been collecting club buttons, they will be available at the clubhouse. Please stop by a meeting to pick one up.
- The winner of the range improvement raffle, which was for an Armalite AR-15, was Laverne Boullion of Osseo, WI. Congratulations!
And finally…
A special mailing is going out primarily to notify past members of the dues change and the new entrance gate to the club. Please remember that future newsletters and calendars will not be mailed out, but will be available on the website and at the club grounds. With that being said, for those that do not have internet access and require a mailed copy of the upcoming newsletter with the 2008 calendar, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to:
